Connie Britton (real name Constance Womack) was born in Boston Massachusetts and moved to Lynchburg, Virginia at the age of seven. After graduating Dartmouth College in 1989, she moved to New York and studied with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse. She also spent an additional two years performing in regional theater and off-Broadway productions.
After the success of The Brothers McMullen she moved to Los Angeles. Connie had a regular role in Spin City and also had a recurring role on 24 during its fifth season. She is perhaps most known for her role as Tami Taylor from the NBC television drama Friday Night Lights. Connie also starred in the original Friday Night Lights movie as the head coach’s wife. More recently, she appeared in the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. She is set to appear in an upcoming romantic film named Conception.
In her free time, Connie enjoys hiking, yoga and doing volunteer work.
